Learn a simple method to draw memorable characters
In the world of animation and video games everything is possible, and Jean Fraisse – illustrator, graphic designer and concept artist – has shown him creating incredible worlds in his course of Concept Art: introduction to the design of scenarios ; but this time, it goes one step further to fill those scenarios of endearing characters.In this course you will learn, through a simple method based on basic geometric shapes, to design original characters for animation and video games.

You will learn about the basics of human anatomy, understanding the importance of proportions and shapes, and muscle and bone groups, to represent each of the different parts of the body – the head, torso, arms, hands, hip , legs and feet – in a simplified way.
You will analyze different characters of recognized animations to understand why they work, and then add these features to your creations.
You will understand how you can build interesting characters that convey different emotions to your audience and you will learn to pose your characters respecting the fundamentals of weight, action and dynamics. In addition, you will see how to achieve stunning facial expressions and, you will gather all this to create your first character.
You will continue to know the main differences between an animation character and a videogame character, so that you can create your own in the most appropriate way.
At the end of the course, you will have created a series of characters applying Jean’s method step by step. You will choose the ones you like most and unify them in a line up.
