Silvia Cordero Vega – graphic designer and calligraphist better known as’ Letrerías’- will teach you to master the technique of calligraphy and drawing with tiralíneas, the most versatile and expressive tool used by contemporary professionals.You will learn to create your own tyrannical lines and you will know the technique to create highly expressive paths, from the basic movement to more elaborate compositions.
About this course
You will start knowing the work of Silvia and you will immerse yourself completely in the world of tyraline.
You will embark with her on a journey through the different typologies of this tool, her genealogy and you will discover which are the media and supports that best match this discipline.
You will learn, too, to build your own toolbar with simple and easy-to-find tools.
Next, you will begin to experiment with the letters through different exercises. You will start with the lowercase, and then move towards the uppercase.
Silvia will teach you the importance of working with energy and rhythm and the best way to manipulate a tyraline. You will discover how a tool that was born to be applied in technical drawing, can bring to your calligraphic projects a modern and artisanal touch.
To finish, you will learn different tricks and effects that will bring a different style to your calligraphy projects with pencils. And you will create a composition in which you will apply all the knowledge acquired during the course.What is this course’s project? Supported by the technique of calligraphy and expressive illustration created with chalk lines, you will make a poster with unique effects.

What you need It is advisable to have previous notions of calligraphy, although it is not an indispensable requirement, since Silvia will explain to you how to work with tyralignals step by step.
