This tutorial is designed for beginners and focuses on creating a low-poly vehicle with a stylized, hand-painted aesthetic for mobile or low-resolution games. Starting with modeling in Maya, the course covers basic modeling principles and preparing UVs for painting. 3D Coat is used for rapid texture painting, with final edits made in Photoshop. By the end of the course, students will have created a usable low-rez vehicle for most game engines. The instructor, Ryan Ribot, is a texture artist and character modeler with Telltale Games, with extensive experience in teaching and the industry.
