Gimbals have emerged as the latest trend in camera movement, revolutionizing the way we capture footage. With just a backpack full of gear, a single operator can achieve what once required an entire crew and expensive equipment. However, mastering the art of gimbal movement requires skill and expertise. It takes more than just plugging in settings to achieve Hollywood-level results.

As an experienced operator who has been using gimbals for the past 5 years, I have developed a signature style of fluid movement that has earned me the nickname “Gimbal God”. I have used gimbals to shoot award-winning short films, commercials, and music videos around the world. For me, gimbals are more than just a tool; they are a paintbrush for creating visual art, and I am now offering to teach you how to paint in your own voice.

This intensive course is designed to teach you everything you need to get started using your gimbal. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced operator, this course will take your skills to the next level. Starting with the basics of setting up and balancing your gimbal, the course covers dozens of essential gimbal moves, including how to imitate a crane, jib, or drone.

Next, we move on to the real world, where I demonstrate how to shoot in a crowded and difficult environment. You’ll learn that there is a lot more to gimbal movement than just moving your feet.

Finally, the course culminates in a lesson on how to craft a narrative “one-take” scene – an entire scene shot in one take. You’ll learn how to break a scene down into beats, blocking, rehearsal, and special techniques for using autofocus in complex scenes. This lesson is a mini-masterclass in gimbal storytelling, and by the end, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to create stunning footage that tells a compelling story.
