Download Latest Version of Unity & Anima2dDescription This course starts with a fast crash course in animation for games and gets you creating your first walk cycle within one hour in Spriter. Unique dynamic drawing exercises are included to help improve your concept of character posing. We start with the animation principles then go through the complete process of sketching a simple figure in Photoshop, to rigging and animating in Spriter. The second part of the course concentrates completely on pure animation and is lead by John Nightingale senior game animator of fifteen years.
Part 1: Basics of Spriter with Nick Sweetman This first part of the course focuses on pure animation and enables you to see the whole process from start to finish. It’s ideal for those who want a short introduction to Spriter so you can apply the knowledge straight away to your own creative game projects. Walk templates are included with the course along with the finished Spriter file. The majority of this part can be completed with a free version of Spriter and trial of Photoshop. Flash is used to explain the core principles of animation in the first exercise.
Part 2: Animating in Anima2D with John Nightingale (Updated 15.9.17)
NOTE: Part 2 concentrates on pure Animation we do not cover rigging in Anima 2D.
Experienced Senior Animator with multiple AAA console and PC projects, John has worked on projects great and small, from Aliens Vs Predator to Harry Potter and Pixar’s Rush. During this section John breaks down his fast 2d animation workflow for creating professional quality game animations that include Jump, run, idle and shoot all inside the software Anima2d an excellent free extension to Unity. We wanted to keep this section completely concentrated on the art of animation so we provide you with the pre-rigged character Rico, so you can jump straight in! This is the first course on Udemy to use the software Anima2D for character animation.Who is the target audience?
